Chunky River Cemetery
Chunky River was the site of a train wreck in which 74 Confederate Soldiers were killed. Nine bodies were later dsinterred by family members and reburied. The remainder remain buried at the crash site on the Chunky River between Chunky and Hickory. The following are names of some of the soldiers killed provided courtesy of Sidney Gibbs.

Doolittle Family Cemetery
This cemetery was offered by Roger Williams Doolittle as final resting place for hundreds of soldiers of the Confederate Hospital at Newton. The markers placed had no names or dates. A list of 30 names kept by Julia, Mr. Doolittle's daughter who was a nurse at the hospital was discovered and are listed below courtesy of Sidney Gibbs.
